The pundits on Sky are saying that the free kick scored by Ronaldo tonight is the best ever, don't know how can it be compared? the ball moves about like a cheap plastic beach ball. In previous times he might never have scored it.

If the ball hardly moved, then it wasn't a very good free kick at all. Any keeper worth his salt should save a ball that goes in a straight line.

I'm guessing you have never played the sport. The ball HAS to move for it to travel to the goal. If you are referring to deviance on the flight path, then you are foolish, as velocity plays a huge part. I could explain it to you, but as you seem to lack knowledge it would probably be a waste of bandwidth.

The keeper had no chance - he did move but knew it was pointless. If any one thinks they could have got to it where David James didn't - well I'm speechless! It was one brilliant strike.

A few questions for ya mate:
1: Did you SEE the free Kick?
2: Have you ever played the game?
3: Are you on Drugs?
James had his wall in the perfect position, and the wall did nothing wrong, which shows you just what a brilliant free kick it was
Was a great free kick but you have to question what the wall of defenders were doing!

This is the kind of goal that you have to see from behind the goal to appreciate just how impossible it was to prevent. The camera angle shown is very deceiving.
The ball travelled very, very quickly.
It was an amazing goal and it would have beat any wall, with any keeper behind them.
but the wall never moved!

From where Ronaldo took the kick from, he could have placed it anywhere.
If David James didn't have time to react with twice as much time as the defence, what hope have they got?

And having watched the goal again, I can see that ALL of the wall moves apart from Benjani!
