I have only watched one film more than once (four times in fact) and that film is " Kes". The story of a schoolboy and his pet kestrel, Story, rivetting, acting superb, all in all the best film ever.!!

I've watched quite a few oldies 2-3 times, I mean real oldies, black & white stuff.

I've watched plenty of films more than once - hence my rather large DVD library. I love going back and rewatching a great film, each time getting something different from it, or noticing another element that passed by on first viewing.

breakfast at tiffanys is my feekgood movie, it comforts me when im sad and it never gets boring
seen most of the disney films loads of times. my sister went rhu a stage when she was about 5 where she'd force me to watch the little mermaid with ehr at least once a day.
Have also seen Mean Girls and Clueless thousands of times. Do i come across as a girly girl?

Exactly. Some are like a big comfy blanket (Grease, Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, When Harry met Sally) you can dip in and out and still follow it.

Some you watch for the cinematography... one's i can think of were cape fear, rope, north by northwest, rules of attraction.

Some you watch to work out the story and see if there are plot holes and the imagery and themes in them... se7en, fight club, minority report, inside man, total recall, terminator, fatal attraction, robocop, donnie darko, sixth sense, usual suspects, american beauty... could go on and on in this category.

some you just watch as they are damn entertaining... goonies, indiana jones, Back to futures, terminators, die hards.

I love watching a good film again and noticing something different. I can come across as a bit of a geek... I went on one the other week about the symbolism of red in Sixth sense and the person i was talking to you could see she was thinking :suspect::loopy:

Im wondering if the type of film we would watch more than once, gives a clue to our personality. Being the OP , and my "watched more than once" film being Kes, I never realised before, that I like Wildlife Documentaries on t.v.so maybe that is the reason I like the film Kes.I believe fabulous girl is a girly girl as she likes Breakfast At Tiffanys. This is a suberb "girly" film, with the theme song " Moon River" being an ideal romantic song, from an equally romantic film.Does your most watched film give a clue to your personality ?

I ,must be a bit sadistic then, as I like mysteries, murders, mafia movies, (a few goody goody ones thrown in now and then).

I loved Johnny Depp in Hidden Window too, saw it first time this week , it's about 4 years old now, but I wait till they're on tv.

The Shining..............I must have watched it thousands of times and it still scares me to death. I see most films more than once if they impress me.

To me a good film is like a good song.......we like to hear a good song more than once :D

Heh... I often get the same reaction from people (like when I started pointing out the plethora of clues in Fight Club that I spotted on repeated watchings, commenting on how blatantly obvious they were yet not spotted first time around)

Titanic, not by my own choice, when it came out my youger sister got a copy of it on video, she proceeded to watch the film 4-5 times a day for a good few months. Without even watching it I had learnt the entire script off by heart unintentionally, occasionally I would sit in the living room and have to endure the bloody thing.

Back to the Future - all of them

I would like to claim a world record for, due to a strange set of events, seeing "Batman and Robin" three times - at the cinema.

Yeah, as that's my favourite film, I then went on about that one in the same conversation... I really should learn when to shut up.
Yeah I'm also geeky in that i watch for movie mistakes... phones ringing, things moving, boomers hanging down... I blame the figure on the balcony in 'three men and a little lady' for that. :hihi::loopy:<< me.

'Crossroads', not the TV series with Meg Mortimer and Amy Turtle, nor the film starring Britney, it stars Ralph Macchio of karate kid fame. The ending is great and features a guitar duel between Macchio and Steve Vai.

The ends here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idb2dUtTpuU) if you want to watch it...

Not a film person but I watched the 60's "Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush", three times, likewise "Goal 1966".
More contemperaneous, on DVD, "Inside I'm Dancing", once, because of the disability issue and secondly, set in Dublin. James McAvoy as Rory, outstanding, a Scot but a spot-on Dublin accent.

If I don't watch a film more than once then it's either a film I found really disturbing or one that was crap! I watch most films I like at the very least twice, and some I've watched dozens of times. All those that I know of the top of my head that I've watched more than 10 times are: Rita Sue & Bob Too, Muriels Wedding, Whistle Down The Wind, Kill Bill, Donnie Darko, Naked, Star Wars, The Wicker Man, Trainspotting, Master & Commander, Lord of the Rings, Interview With The Vampire, 28 Days Later, The Full Monty, Children Of Men, The Commitments, Sound of Music, 24 Hour Party People, Life of Brian, The Battle of Britain, Dambusters...
