dont think any sheffield operated servs go past there (i may be wrong) but if you catch a 20/20A/97/98 (from arundel gt) & get off near the bottom of the markets, sorta 2 mins walk . i think thats about as near a stop as there is..... im not sure tho if any rotherham operated busses go past there or stagecoach tho & it depends where exactly u going there from

see link.... http://www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/yorkhumber/southyorkshire/map/sheffield_city.pdf

Thanks. I'll be going from Hallamshire Hospital. Thanks for the map, I was looking at it earlier and couldn't quite work out where Furnival Road was (is it Furnival Street?).

No. Furnival Road is over in the top-right corner, past Park Square.

An occasional bus service did at one time go up it, but I'm not sure that any do so nowadays. If you can get to Castlegate or Waingate, it's not far of a walk, although I'm not sure where you can easily cross Exchange Place unless you go over the footbridges at Park Square. There might be a pelicon crossing there somewhere; I don't go down that way and couldn't tell you.

Stick the address into www.transportdirect.info and it'll work it out for you. It'll probably be a case of catching the 40/42/120 down to the markets and walking round the corner.

the hilton is directly opposite where the building site is that ised to be the old sheaf market, on the other side of the dual carriageway.

get a 40-whatsit from the hallamshire, get off at wilkinsons(By the castle market). walk down exchange street (where the open-air market stalls are).

at the bottom of exchange street, there's the new build/ building site, where the sheaf market used to be. follow that, down to the dual carriageway, the hilton is over the raod, beside the old Quays building.

*(I'm not sure if the 120 stops at Wilkinsons, so get the firstbus 40-something from the RHH to be on the safe side)
