I have this problem quite often but i always thought it was my PC. At the moment though, it seems fine.

Might be an ISP thing. I'm on PlusNet and, for all the bad publicity they've had in the last year or so I think their service is fine.

If its a ISP problem could be whats called " Traffic" When a lot of users are on at the same time. Im with SKY and they are well known for that.:rolleyes:

Theres nothing worse than a jerky, sticky sf. I usually loosen mine with a blob or two of oil.

Most of the problems I have encountered on SF are down to server issues in Dallas. It is very unlikely to be your PC that is the cause of any "stickiness" :)

Is there a reason why SF is hosted in Dallas? Are US gigabytes smaller and cheaper than British ones or summat?

Really ? Thought you were pulling my leg. Why do some members suffer with stickiness, and others dont ? Mine is O.K. now, but can turn sticky at any moment.

Well whatever is causing this 'sticky' problem it is anoying. I'm with virgin media and I've tried loads of sites and it is only SF that seems to be causing me problems.
LIke the OP sometimes things seem fine but then every now and then for no apparent reason the scrolling function get's jerky and pages refuse to load.
Has the forum got too many users or people ttrying to view it or is it something about the adverts on the site causing issues?
I don't know but I started having problems a few weeks ago and it's still a problem although interestingly it doesn't seem as bad or even happen late at night.

Seems to be unstuck now - and hey! first thread where summats gone wrong and nobody's blamed the council :o

The annoying thing though is the randomness at which this 'sticky' problem manifests itself. I've been on the forum for over an hour now and it's behaving itself, but for how long?
