My manager was driving home last night over the Stocksbridge bypass and he saw two stark naked blokes running down the side of the road! What's all that about then?!

Come on Lou, it is Stocksbridge we're talking about. They were probably on their way out for a beer!

Does anyone know if there was an accident or not?

Well something closed the manchester-ward side of the bypass jsut before the steelworks access road, where you have the middle island bit. There was an ambulance that took someone to hospital, two police cars and 2 recovery trucks so i rekon there probably was! I wnat to know what heppended????

When will people bloody learn to drive carefully on that bypass.

How many more deaths has there got to be before people start to learn to drive more carefully on it.

ANGELUS, what you say is strong, but very true.

Although I've never lived in Stocksbrodge, I have travelled there frequently over the last 12 / 15 years.

There has always been a sense of forboding for me whenever I travelled on the bypass; there is no reason for this, I am a confident driver, have a roadworthy car, and have a good driving record.

Every death that is announced makes me more anxious the next time I travel on that road.

A proper investigation needs to take place!

Is this the one.

TWO HURT IN BY-PASS CRASH.

The stocksbridge by-pass was closed for 90 minutes last night
after a collision between two cars, on a stretch of road near underbank lane.
firefighters freed two men from a mazda 323 executive,
but the driver of the other car a rover 620- managed to walk free.
All three were taken to sheffield's northern general hospital with minor injuries.

The one on woodhead pass was shocking on friday night, someone had shot out of the bend on the holme moss road, down a small cliff onto woodhead. Terrible mess and I only saw the strewn wreckage left.

This has happened to me, too! It was during the summer, when Euro 2004 was all over the Tv - I saw a car pull over just before the crawler lane starts heading towards Sheffield, and two stark ******* naked men jumped out and started cavorting with the England flag...
