View Full Version : I'm leaving Sheffield!!
I'm leaving Sheffield later this year... but I'm actually happy!! :D
you want to know why? well tough, I'm going to tell you anyways because I'm in such a happy mood!
I've just landed my year placement for University, so I'll be spending a year working for Interlink Software which is based in Wilmslow, Cheshire!
man I'm such a happy man, if I wasn't feeling so tired and skint I'd be out getting drunk right now and celebrating, instead I think I'll leave it till friday... but wahoo I'm so happy... I've applied for SO many jobs and had interviews with like 4 now, but FINALLY I've landed one of them... and it's turned out to be an extremly good job by the looks of it, exactly what I've been looking for in a company and the work I'll be doing is right down my street! :D
I know your all going to miss me, but don't worry, I'll still visit the forum when I'm gone, and I'll be back here to do my final year :D
Well done. Hope it's as good as it sounds

royjames 21-02-2005, 15:41 Aufwederzane, goodbye,and good luck.
Wishing you good luck. There is life beyond Sheffield, as my wife and I have found on the wrong side of the Pennines. Never forget your Sheffield roots, though [I assume you have them]. Always think fondly of the tough but kind people, the unique accent and humour, and the many beautiful things to be found in the city of seven hills. Scrape away the soot, and you have a diamond of a city in Sheffield. You will miss it. I certainly do.
Sam Miguel 21-02-2005, 15:55 The very best to of luck to you. Wilmslow is a lovely place.
rubydazzler 21-02-2005, 16:04 see - that's why you didn't get the other jobs ... this ideal one was just waiting for you ... :D
wishing you the very very best of luck ... you deserve it ... hope you have fun too as well as work ....
well done,
You should like Wilmslow, it's nice place (though can b expensive to rent in places) . I grew up not far from there. There is some pretty good bars for a night out and places to eat, and your not too far from Manchester for a big night out!
Good Luck with it!
Good luck.
Don't forget to pack a case of Hendersons.

yeah, I had a quick look round when I was there and it looked pretty good, the company's office is based right in the centre, like near the McDonalds... looks a nice place to live, and the people at the interview said there are a few areas that aren't bad for renting, but theres a couple that are rather expensive...
gonna go hunting for a place to live next month maybe, yay :D
