It's just, this whole thing has been one long nightmare! From the day my tennancy started from the landlord being IN my flat no permission from myself after my tennancy had started, to the doors not fitting properly and doorhandles falling off. I mean the backdoor is un-usable because of the handle and the front door...well it's ok now, my dad fixed it but at the start I couldn't use it, it didn't fit! I once locked myself out of the house because the doorhandle came off the back door and the front got well and truely stuck! And my windows don't actually open.

Then the water started pouring in and flooding everything! Thankfully nothing was destroyed, as far as I know. But then the mould! I was so sick! And the mould was everywhere and the plaster started comming off of the walls, so I've been made homeless while he "Fixes it"... A month later he PROMISES it will be ready by yesterday and it STILL isn't! The floor is rotten and the walls are even worse! But the leak is fixed. *sobs*

And then of course there's the pet problem. My bunnies are 2ft long each! Their cage is 4ft long. It was only ever meant to be a base and now they're confined to it almost all the time because my mom whom I'm staying with won't let them be free.

I'd move out but getting another place is so hard! The area and the fact that I have housepets...And I don't know if legally speaking I can tell him to shove the place up his ass before my tennancy expires
I don't have the finances to sue him.
I don't know what to do! I feel so helpless and so lost and I just want to...am crying. I want to go home!

(For reference I live in hillsborough...<address details removed>

I would think that a place has to be 'habitable' for the contract still to be valid, as it is not, I think you could probably get out of the agreement without too much hassle, but get proper advice, mine is just a hunch, speak to citizen's advice.

Hello, from what you have stated your landlord contravenes many of the law's requirements in respect of your tenancy.
As a matter of urgency I would visit the CAB soon as and commence immediate action as deemed appropriate by them.
You have a strong case here but be prepared for a long wait before it's resolved.
In your shoes I would not entertain going back. Bite the bullet and find wherever to live.
I hope you sort it to your satisfaction. Good luck!

Before you start feeling too sorry for this young lady try looking back at a few of her other posts. I also wonder why she got another rabbit so recently knowing she was going to be living in rented accommodation?

What has rented accomodation got to do with it?

Mine is rented and would be fine for two or ten rabbits if I chose

Because my rabbits are allowed free range in my rented flats 24/7. I weill never get a flat where my buns are not allowed. Rented or owned it doesn't matter so long as your buns have space and are well and happy.

They do get to run around while my moms not up and even then they're still allowed a lot when she is as they hide under the bed and I close the hutch so at a glance my mom won't notice.

And I don't want your sympathy, I never asked for sympathy I wanted advice.

So I guess my next question is, where is a CAB?

Welcome to the wonderful world of renting. Sorry you've had such a problem but I would say you can definitely get out of this one. The place is inhabitable so get some advice from the CAB as suggested. Good luck!
