I just wandered if anyone has a full summary of which secondary schools in Sheffield are having new buildings, refurbishments etc

I read somewhere the government plans that ALL secondarys will undergo some sort of major investment in their buildings...

Don't think much of the information on the link. You can drive past Meadowhead and Walteof (might have changed its name) and see its a new building. Nice new one poss 04/05 for King Ecgberts. Springs Academy? If you really want to know, its probably a freedom of information request to the city council.

Under the building schools for the future plans that Sheffield City Council have for all our secondary schools, they will all be refurbished or rebuilt!!

You should also note that 'newbuild' isn't necessarily 'goodbuild'. Many of the teachers and lecturers I know think the building and designs are rubbish. And I haven't seen one yet that doesn't have some major problems with it.

Wasnt there a newly built school somewhere in Sheffield where the roof blew off with the first bad wind we had - think it was last year or the year before?

I'm actually thinking in particular of King Edwards and Hillsborough College.

I've heard no end of complaints about both.
