just browasing the net and looking at freeform knitting. fancy knitting a bag and I have seen on one site - bag forms?
what are they, is it like a pttern or do you use them as an integral part of the piece? may sound a daft question but as I ma new to this everything is a puzzle!

You mgiht use a bag form when wet felting, I can't imagine using one when knitting, maybe it might be for making the bag a more sturdy structure once it's made?

If I was freeform knitting a ba i'd just knit an oblong then pick up the stitches around all four sides and knit in the round, probably.

thanks beans for you. just got a reply form a supplier of these forms and she says you stitch them into the knitting to make the bag sturdy - as you suggested.

Which supplier did you get the bag forms from? I bought a pattern for a "freeform knitted bag" ages ago, which looked lovely but I never started it cos I couldn't work out what the "bag form" was... and never really bothered looking!
