can anyone tell me if you can get mario kart on nintendo wii ,or will the game cube discs play on the nintendo wii, thanks

I've been reliably informed by OH that game cube disks do play on the Wii ....but we can't play Mario Kart because I cheat :hihi:

In a word,.yes. There's a Wii version of Mario Kart due soon, you can download the Nintendo 64 version on the Wii virtual console and Gamecube games all work fine although you need an original GC controller or a classic controller to play them. HTH.

You buy wii points (either on a scratchcard or via the wii shop), then go on the wii shop channel and download it from there using said points. The controllers you need are standard gamecube ones, or the wii classic controller. The proper wii version of mariokart is due in June this year.

You can use the controllers from your old gamecube, or you can buy the new wireless gamecube controllers.

be aware that without a gamecube memory card you can't save any Gamcube game.

I bought a game cube game to play on the wii.I got one of these (http://www.game.co.uk/Wii/Hardware/Accessory/~r329926/GAMEware-Nintendo-GameCube-Control-Pad-for-Nintendo-Wii-White/) control pads for it and also bought a memory card for £5 from that shop opp argos at meadowhall.
