And it's traffic exhausts that are the main culprit apparantly.
But, as it has been said on here before, people have no choice but to drive, so these deaths are probably regrettable but unavoidable.

It's reported that the Government receives more than £42 billion a year in road taxes, including £28 billion in duty and VAT on fuel.
They aren't going to be happy with anything that reduces that, - be it electric cars or public transport systems that will persuade people out of their cars.
If a few people [well a few thousand people] have to die to keep the revenue flowing it's just a sad fact of our modern llifestyle

yeah lets bring on electric cars... which means we need to produce more electricity... which is mostly still produced by big power stations that polute like hell :? hmm... electric cars will be better?
