Absolutely - did you do that particular crossword? I think it's brilliant. I didn't get it but immediately suggested supermarket rather than Reykjavik. So at least some lateral thinking is being improved.

Nope, didn't see it in a recent crossword, but I act as crossword consultant for my grown-up kids - I get text messages that say things like "chaperone _u_n_ _ ? not sure the n is right". I am a Guardian person myself.
