I sent mine to the charity shop which was a pity because just after I'd got shut of it I saw someone knitting up sock yarn into fabric which they then dyed, unpulled and reknitted by hand. She got some really good effects because you can get really long colour changes. It was too late for me though.

Once you get the hang of it it's really simple. I have one in my loft  that I used to make all the girls sweaters an cardi's with when they were ickle. You can knock out a back of an adult sweater in an evening. Really no bother.

Well i've been playing with it alot and it seems pretty straight forward once you grasp the lingo, and the fiddly bits, and the tempermental parts, and those fiddley things...

I'm waiting on some bits to go wtih it, a ribber and colour changer etc, but I made these the other night and think they came out ok: Here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/shunklies/2230814415/)

I had to finish them by hand because I don't have the ribber yet.

I think they came out wonderfully. You can knit socks with a ribber...

I think the most frustrating part has been when the carriage has dragged a few of the end stitches off the needles as it's gone past, maybe its the yarn tension, I don't know. I've figured out if I do it very slowly and watch for it as it passes it seems ok.

I've treat myself to a second hand hague Linker, which looks like good fun and is great if you hate sewing up your work!
