Near the Water Tower, I think, is the dance hall where Joe Cocker as Vance Arnold and the Avengers sang on a Saturday night. Early 60's. I used to bus it there from Crosspool and later from Fulwood. I later lived at North Anston.

I'm in Lodge Moor.

My bedroom window overlooks the observatory (off Blackbrook Road) and from my daughters' windows I can see over to Bradfield.

Prior to living here, I've lived in Ranmoor (Hangingwater Close), Lodge Moor (off Crimicar Lane), and Upper Fulwood (off Barncliffe Road).

I love the proximity to the open countryside. A five minute walk takes me to the top of Lodge Lane overlooking Rivelin Dams.

I also love the fact that it's close to the Shiny Sheff*, the Sportsman and the Three Merry Lads.

* I have it on good authority that 'The Sheffield' will finally revert to its original name The Shiny Sheff in a month or two's time!

We recently moved to upper Fulwood, loving it up here. It's quiet and the views are fantastic. I can not wait for summer to get out into the countryside and my new garden

Ecclesall. Lovely place.

Wisewood/Wadsley. Not quite sure where one starts and the other ends but just two minutes walk from Wadsley/Loxley Commons. Going for a walk there in about 1/2 an hours time.

I just seem to move from place to place around the city centre!

I moved to Firth Park from Birmingham 22 years ago but, due to boundary changes, I now live in Burngreave! Despite the fact I'm a 2 minute from the actual park.:loopy:

But it didn't change the view from my parlour window, which is of Hinde Common Wood, so all I see (apart from the top deck of a double-decker bus) is lovely green trees - in summer, at any rate :hihi:

I'm in Hyde Park Flats at the moment, close enough to town.

Lived in Dore when born, then moved to Owlthorpe for a number of years.

Next was Sothall, then to a flat in Halfway near Morrisons... since moved out and away from Sheffield but Mum still there and sister returning there soon.

Netherthorpe. I'm originally from the hellhole of the North (i.e. Ayrshire), and via a hilariously circuitous route ended up in Crosspool, then Crookes, now in S3. Lord alone knows where I'll be in a year.

Sheffield is by far and away the best place in which I have lived!

I'm hoping to move back to Shiregreen soon, i loved it there!
