Does anyone know how to disable the auto log off feature on XP, the one that takes you to the Welcome screen if you're inactive for a while? I've looked around in the settings for a while but to no avail

Have you tried going into control panal, power, advance TAB, then look to see if "prompt for password when computer resumes from standby" is unselected ?

If you mean what I think you mean:

Control Panel > Display > Screen Saver tab > Power button. Change system standby/hibernate to never, or if you want standby leaving on but don't want to re-login, click the "Advanced" tab and untick the prompt for password box.

No, thats not it but dont worry about it it's nothing crucial.
