I know there is a section in this Forum where one can offer things for free as well as for sale, but I'd like to alert readers here to another site where things can be offered (and acquired!) for free.

you will find all sorts, the only requirement is that everything listed must be free. Oh, and as it happens you have to join up as a Yahoo member if you aren't already one, but that's no big deal and you can have an email account with it as well which gives you 250MB of space, which you are NEVER likely to fill up unless you have friends who send you huge attachments!

Let's have less good stuff thrown out on skips (where I admit I have found a lot of what is in my house now!) and more of it passed on to people who can use it or to charities. I weep at the amount of good furniture I see broken up to put on a skip when a little thought by the owners might have helped someone out.

Still hoping to find that unspotted cache of money, or unnoticed jewellery chucked on a skip though.........
