i know alot of fans say things that arent true sometimes to make their team look better but really, to say we're in utds shadow when best you've done recently is a couple of semi finals and one season in premiership is just laughable. we have still won more than utd even if it was just one cup and was in premiership longer. ok, you have a better team on paper but thats about it, you cant even beat us. we will never be in your shadow

i did'nt omit it there cup win was against manchester united not us.
my reply was to the bloke going on about blades v pigs. read his post again big mouth he said beating united meant more than the derby county cup game. he was'nt bangin on about pigs in league cup or european defeats to council houses.

I love to wind the boys from S6 up but I don't know what to say really, part of me says that i'm glad to be in the cup but anoter part of me thinks I wouldn't be that bothered if we went out if it meant we had a good shot at the league.
The thing is as far as i'm concerned the only way a cup run benefits us is that it gives a bit of entertasinment to the fans which can tae the eye off haveing a pretty medioca season,but the man thing is obviously the revenue gained for the club which i'm sure is the thing Wendy will miss more than anything.
With the poor season we are having I wouldn't care going out of the cup if it mean we could concentrate on sorting our league performances out, because look at the bigger picture nobody outside of the the top flight has a genuine shot at lifting the silver-ware. if you are lucky enough to get to the semi finals ok as fan we get a good day out. But if the league goes well you get all of the things that the cup has to offer including the good day out and the nice bounty for the club that follows.
So Man City on sunday ok its a nice game against premieship opposition, but hey if we lose we lose at least then we have to focus on the one remaining thing to go at which is the league because theres still time to make an impact on the league if we get on the job now and concentrate on it!

Reason for Owls loss last night...simple Derby put away their penalties, Wednesday should have been three up at half time, Derby looked as poor as Sheff United in that first half but came out and mixed it a bit second half.
