hi all, i'm struggling with ideas! its my mum and dad's 30th wedding anniversary soon and i haven't got a scooby doo what to get them, i've looked for inspiration on ebay and a few other sites such as spaceform but i dont want anything cheap and tacky nor too expensive, i'd like something i can have personalised i think. if any of you could suggest anything that would be fab, even better if i could get it in sheffield so that i could take a look at the item/s first, thanks all.

In Meadowhall, the lanes there's a bloke that does these really nice Crystal cube type things that have laser etched image inside, taken from a photo.
Why not take a photo of mum & dad together and see what he can do.

When it was my parents 40th anniversary I got my brothers and wives (partners) and grandkids together and we had a group photo done. My mum cried (with happiness) for about a week. It has pride of place in the living room ( I cringe when I see it Bad Hair)

I got my parents a pair of tickets to go and see Swan Lake at the Lyceum.
My mum was more pleased than my dad.

Why not treat them to a fantastic meal out. A dining experience with a difference. I took my wife and daughter on the Peak Rail dining train near to Matlock just before Christmas. It was a great meal out, a great experience on a steam train, not too costly and great hospitality. It's something different they'd remember!!!

Then have a new kitten witing for them when they return home.

The 30th Wedding Anniversary is Pearl, I got my mum and dad a pearl encrusted photo frame (not real pearl) and we did a surprise party for them.

I saw a photo place in the Market at Crystal Peaks and he does some lovely things with old pics - you can have them all scanned in and then put together in one large picture so they fade into one another.

For my daughters birthday I dug out loads of photo's of her and family and cut them out and did a montage (sp?) in a large frame, you could do something similar with lots of photo's of your parents and family?
