Yes they are just as good, although the more expensive ones detect the Hcg hormone a few days before your due on and the cheaper ones tend to work best from the date your due.

A good compromise is the first response one which are £3.50 from Wilko's

I get mine off e-bay - go for the 10mIU/ml ultra-sensitive dipstick ones from someone like tk_diagnostics rather than people selling on possibly out-of-date midstream store brands. They work out at about 25p each, they're more sensitive than a CBE-digital (I think that's 25-40mIU/ml, so you can test positive at least a day earlier on an internet cheapie than a CBE-D), and providing you use them properly they work every time. I've used dozens of them now (mostly tracking my falling HCG levels post-m/c as well as testing from 9DPO) - they picked up my november pg as well, well before a CBE-D could, even though the levels were very, very low at first (it ended at 5w).

Wow! Congratulations and good luck from your ex-next door neighbour! Hope you are all getting on alright. The bottom line is, do you feel pregnant? I think I knew before the tests, dont know about anyone else.

I tried the cheap ones a couple of years ago and they didn't work either. The boots own brand are rhubarb n'all. I'll stick to Clearblue in future i think.

Congratulations cuteykat, looks like you're dropping in as i'm dropping out!

I didn't think I was, OH was adamant I wasn't (after a convincing false-negative hospital test) my littlest kitty was sure I was...
