I checked him out, & a friend has been & had some work done since. So far nothing but good impressions, apart from having the funny habit that some of them have of wrapping fresh tattoos in cling film...

If you're unsure, or want any artwork doing, go to Feline

I didn't even know there was a tattooist in Orchard Square.

I can however recommend Feline Tattoo just off Ecclessal Road.

All these tattoo threads consist of the same people making the same dull comments over and over again. Go to Quoz (Orchard Square) He is as good as all at Feline and a helluva lot more friendly.

apart from having the funny habit that some of them have of wrapping fresh tattoos in cling film..IMO it certainly aids the healing process.

I went there to have a look at the designs, and didnt like how the people having them done were on show, especially cos I'm thinking on having one on my hip or my bum!

How odd, I've got 3 tattoos done by different places, and never had cling film put on!

My advice is Fiona Long at Feline, she is by far the best I have seen in sheffield. She put one on my arm 12 years ago and its still really good

I had one done 2 years ago now at the place on West St near Ivory. It was my 4th tattoo and was done 5 years after my others. It is by far the most quality tattoo I've had done, it hasn't bled or patched at all and was very accurately done considering I'm the most fidgety girl in the world. Would reccommend them.

The cling film on the tattoo and leaving it on for 24hrs really improves the healing time IMO.
2 weeks max healing and more than half way done after 1 week.

Used to take me a full 4 weeks before a tat fully healed when I haven't used the cling film technique.

Go and see Quoz in Q Tattoo orchard square... spot on.

PS quoz I know you might read this since you have just got broadband (need a website mate ;) ) so giz a discount you tight jessie :hihi:

If you are after privacy i know that if you mention it then 'Quoz' will close the studio to the public while you get your 'intimate' tattoo done, this means you are not going to get ogled at by any Tom, Dick or Harry. I recommend Q Tattoo very highly indeed. Oh and cling film really does help speed up the healing of your tattoo.

Quoz is a great tattoist. Yeah Feline are very good too, but in answering the original question, yes the tattooist in orchard sqaure is great.

Back to the debate about clingfilm.

I've just been to have a tattoo touched up and that particular artist no longer uses clingfilm........its now a self-adhesive dressing that they use in hospital burns units. Put it on, peel off the backing and its sorted.

i would recommend Q tattoo in orchard square, he is a nice bloke and bloody good artist,

in answer to the cling film thing it's called wet healing, a lot of places do it differently but i have very sensitive skin and its the only way i can heal fully in under 6 weeks,

you wear the cling film untill the first night when you take it off and rinse your tatt very gently with warm water, apply whatever cream/goo you use again gently, re wrap with clingfilm, do the same again in the morning. i try to do this for at least 48 hours and it works wonders!!!

A friend of mine is just completing a full sleeve at Q's. I must say it is a fine piece of work. My girlfriend has also just had one done there and it looks amazing. I would say they are probably the best I have seen.

I am having one done soon and would highly recommend them. However, be prepared for a few weeks wait as he is so popular. My girlfriend had to wait 6 weeks to get hers done, but was well worth the wait.

Been going to Quoz in Orchard Square for a couple of years now, and never been disappointed with both his attitude/cleanliness, and his work.
If you're not sure, pop up and have a chat with him.
There's also a book on the counter with loads of photo's of his previous work.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:banana::thumbsup::banana:

Quoz is great. Pop up for a chat.

Cling film - I never bother with covering fresh work these days. With cling film - big thick itchy annoying scab to deal with for a couple of weeks.

Without cling film, just fresh air and some gentle vitamin E cream - barely no scab to speak of at all, in fact more of a layer of dead skin - and more importantly, its all over and 'sealed' smooth within a week.

I went into feline a couple of years ago and got no help what so ever , if they were the best tatooists in the whole world I wouldn't use them simply on that one experience.
