Atkinsons have a selection of Jean Greenhowe booklets that are very good. Jill at the Wool Baa has patterns also.

Keep a look out in Charity shops. You never know what pops up in those places, or try the library. Both above shops good for said items too.

(Looking back at your title to this thread, I'm not sure wool toys can knit books :suspect:)

SORRY.... you are right...you must excuse my english...its been so many years that i live now in Italy.
As i'm coming over on the 24th for a week and would like to find some original things to bring back home. You see there is no culture on knitting toys over here and as i have a haberdashery which sells wool too, i would like to make corses in my shop and introduce this new craft. This summer i sent off to australia for a knitting pattern of a Golly wog and a funky doll....They cost me $5!! So any other advice is welcome...
in the mean time thank-you both :)

There are some fab books on amazon, also, look on knittingpatterncentral.com and also sign up to lion brand yarns (its free) as they have lovely patterns too.
