Do you enter competitions? I am talking about these mainly in magazines/newspapers or on TV where they are very simple but are required to telephone your entry. I would like to know if anybody has ever actually won any type competitions and if so what did you win? I know a guy who enters lots and somehow manages to win on a regular basis but I've never won anything.

I do sometimes. I entered the competition to win tickets for the last ever Concorde flight for example. I generally don't enter ones on flyers that come in magazines where you scratch off the panels and/or have a number to ring up or similar. I'm always very dubious about where the catch is (like a premium rate phone number to call). And I've never won anything from the competitions I have entered...

No not much success in national comps, although have won local radio stuff, like theatre tickets etc.

Funny story here
Once went into a pub, never been in this place before and they were selling raffle tickets for some charity, well we obliged and bought the usual strip of 5 for £1. A few drinks later they held the draw, we only won 4 prizes out of about 6, the locals were not impressed.
Converstion went something like this...................

Drink up love were off, oh and pick up your cuddly toy, food hamper, bottle of whisky and box of chocolates.

we laughed about it all the way home!!!!
