A number of people on here have recently made reference to the fact Sheffield Wednesday have not done the double over United since the 1913/14 season.

Whilst not contesting this point, or believing that it will be actually be completed during in the next few months; I nevertheless intend to take a precautionary measure of ordering new boots, gas masks and bayonets for the entire company, lest some uninvited Serb causes it all to kick off in Austria again during this summer, and drags everyone else into yet another four year campaign, when it does.

It happened in 1914 and 1939. But, gather unlikely to this seasopn.

PS -
Didn't I hear / read that United had only met Man City twice in the cup before this season, both in the fourth round and United won both times?
(And the years were 1914 and 1939? )
