Hello,
We are getting married in august and plan to have a short service conducted by the registrar which will be the formal legal part of becoming a legal 'civil partnership', then later in the evening when we have been joined by additional friends and guests, we will be having a more full and personal celebratory ceremony conducted by a humanist celebrant.
I just wanted to get some good traditional sheffield forum feedback on how this sounds, we opted for a humanist as we want to completely create our own service and make it very personal to us, and give lots of scope for everyine to be involved. But couldnt cater for everyone in terms of a formal meal, and we also want our close friends and family to witness the official legal bit too.
So we are hoping to be able to combine all these elements. What do you think? Dont want to baffle and/or bore people.
