ive been loads and its great for the kids to burn of energy.

i dont think its the cleanest or nicest of play centres i took my daughter in and walked back out i go to jungle mania also not far from meadowhall its amazing for kids:)

Have to agree! I personally do not like the place at all! My Daughter always ends up in tears :( (no thats not the only reason I don't like it).

I took my eldest daughter this week and she enjoyed herself very much. It wasn't the cleanest place ever but the staff were really friendly :thumbsup:

My daughter went to a party there few months ago, and we all enjoyed it, the party food was good as well and I liked the fact that they do a mix of hot and cold food.

I asked how much it would be for a party the same and if I remember correctly they said about £7 a head which I thought was really good.

From a safety point, from where the seating area is for the parents you can see all over the soft play area so keep an eye on your kids.

We took our lot the other week, the older ones enjoyed it but youngest(3yrs) wasn`t keen.
Like some of the others have said, it wasn`t as clean as you`d expect of a place like that.
But the staff was nice

i no they have a 16 year old working there with no experience or qualifications in childcare how do they get away with that fair enough if it was work experience but its part time job

I've been to quite a few and lots of other parents have detailed their experiences too so you'll get lots of opinions.

i take both my grandchildren age 4 and 18 months,the parent seating is very well placed so you can keep an eye on the little ones (allthough i very rarely get to sit down) the space is good and the staff are friendly, we enjoy it.

The 16 year old wouldnt have childcare qualifications at that age would she- she isnt old enough-maybe she is training or something. She doesnt need them anyway-it is the parents job to supervise or play with the children-the staff are there to serve food and clean the place.They are all police checked, thats the main thing. I know that it has recently been took over and the place is going through a big refurbishment. think its closing for a couple of weeks-heard it was sometime in jan so maybe now. Hopefully when they reopen the place will be cleaner and the menu better. Thats the two things i think let it down.

irrelavent really- as i say she isnt there to supervise the children just serve and tidy up. I appreciate what your saying but as long as u keep an eye on your child which is easy to do at a zoo then the staff dont really matter. Lets hope there is an improvement when its refurbished and u can still keep an eye on them wherever your sat.

hi it has been known for been a bit mucky
but
it has just been taken over by a couple i know and they are cleaning it up they are shutting it down in a week or so for a full re furb , they have only just got it now and are doing all they can to make it an excellent place to be , and if i know them they will make it fantastic

Kidz Kingdom at westfield gets a big thumbs up from me! clean, nice food and friendly staff. Im always taking my baby niece there. :)

I have to disagree. There is hardly any facilities for children in this area, I know it is currently being addressed but until the proposed childrens centre opens I for one need places like Alphabet Zoo. I don't drive so I can't get to Jungle Mania and I didn't enjoy it as much when I did go to be honest.
There are enough children to sustain more than one play centre surely?

i take my daughter weekly and she loves it and so do i when its not busy parents are allowed to go round with their children. they are closed from 24th janurary 08 until 2nd feburary 08 for re-furbishment its only £2.50 for all day play parents go free the food is lovely and the staff are excellant with the children i went as a child and loved it! im now 21 and still love it.

Used to take my eldest son there (he's now 14) years ago and we used to love it but I took my 2 year old recently and was disappointed at the deterioration - really shabby and not so clean, definately ready for a refurb. Can't beat Jungle Mania and Pirate Ship at Wadsley Bridge comes a close second.

I just wondered if anyone had been since the refurb and how they found it. I've been planning a return trip since it re opened but haven't had a chance.

Hi I went to a birthday party there last Friday (22nd) and it was great, they have moved some of the equipment about and definitely cleaned it up. We really enjoyed it and the party food was lovely. Give it a try is all I can say. I always find Jungle Mania too frantic, noisy and busy.

Where is this Jungle Mania??? Dont know of it if its in the area of Alphabet Zoo.

i found it to be much better they have moved some stuff around and its alot betterits worth every penny

jungle mania is behind mac D on greenland road, i think its a bit small, Alphabet zoo last time we went was lookin a bit scraggy, and last parties we been to have been at pirate ship near hillsboro, just dont go when a match on
