Last year I was so impressed by the bag of rocket seed potatoes that I grew, I had to repeat the experience. It was lovely digging out your own spuds just before you boil them. I bought my bag of rockets from wilkinsons again this week, and will be looking for recepticles to chit them in on the windowsill. I grow them in containers, but might try one or two straight into the earth as I have plenty of room here. (provided I can round up a labourer)
If you havent had a go, I'd advise you to give it a go. Buckets, large pots or bin bags are ideal, so you dont need much space.
Hi yellowrose, I've still not dug up all of this seasons potatoes LOL !
One of the lottie forums has posted a link to dt Brown Seeds who are offering a free trial pack of Vales Emerald potatoes. You just need to pay .95p p&p. I've sent off for some, they sound yummy. Here is the offer:

I've gone with Pentland Javelin and King Edwards - am looking forward to eating my own spuds :)
So when should I be planting these and more importantly should I be chitting now?
Torin, traditionally Good Friday is the day to plant potatoes. I'll be popping mine in the following week.
