Yes United Fans after the Barnsley game, cctv footage help catch them, my mate was 1 of them, o well that'll teach him not to cover his face

The OB were everywhere and didn't mind playing the heavy, Saw quite a few lads getting pushed about.
I stayed at the Swimm Inn for a few bevvys and a meal after Dot had left and about 30 -40 ocs came in.
Over 20 OB came in about 1/2 after and had a nosy around and left.
Heard about loads of trouble at Hillsborough corner and in town but didnt see any of it all day.
Most were just giving it the big one while we were on the tram stuck for 1/2 hour waiting for it to move.We did get a door open and a few piled out but OB soon soon stopped that :o

I went to one of the real ale pubs further down towards town and stayed there for a couple of hours until everything moved on but I got caught up in a load of fighting on the tram back into town. It all started off with wendy fans singing which was fair enough. just won their first game against united for a fair few years and it was all fairly friendly until we got to Brook Hill/Shalesmoor when this big fat ++++++ decided he couldn't cope with the friendly banter and stormed down the coach and punched a united fan and his mates piled in afterwards.
No need for it at all. There were only 4 or 5 united fans there and they were joining in some of the songs like sacked in the morning. I ended up dragging the fat ++++++ away and pointed out to him where the cameras on a supertram and got his mates to look as well. Hopefully the CCTV was working and the pictures are clear.
Totally unnecessary and because of the time people not interested or from Sheffield got caught up in it and they were scared. I'm old enough and big enough to know what goes on but at that time and place it was well out of order.

Perhaps he should have got off the tram and tried his boxing skills with those Blades that were in town.
Oh no they didn't have Chelsea, Arsenal, Rangers, Hudds town fans with them. There is probably more teams they have joined with but can't remember them all.

I've learned that the BBC were enjoying a morning cuppa in the top Freedom at Walkley at nine in the morning last Saturday. By lunchtime the caffeine affected a fair number of the party and they were frog-marched down to West Bar to await a talking to by the local bobby.

Sadly, a fellow Sheffielder, but in a blue and white striped top was seen through the windows of the Hadfield pub, en route. When the law let the lads free they made a bee line for aforementioned pub and sought the lad in blue and white clothing.

They then proceeded to evict him via way of a smashed window and to continually rain blows to his head by way of next door's ice cream metal sign (next door being a newsagent).

Make of this what you will. Frankly, it sums up why I do not miss going to football matches in the slightest if this is the vermin which attaches itself to the game.

I used to work near the Hadfield pub and have been speaking to someone who still does work near to this pub in question. (The person to whom I was speaking said it was carnage in the area on Saturday.)

Belive both Wednesday and Utd got escorts to ground.

Heard was more trouble in town after game, here 1 wednesday lad was set upon by 10 blades and a group of wednesday was 'done' by larger firm of blades.

he's an old mate of mine. and was well up for it that day. saw him at another mates funeral last year and reminised for a few hours at the wake. partnered each other in a snooker pairs match later that night and he won me a few quid. could'nt miss.

me and my mate picked him up from the burgoyne day of the funeral. caused plenty of bother in his time but but to his mates a gentle giant. remember about 10 years ago when he first applied for a boozer licence at west bar. coppers locked him up for non payment of fines.

Worked with him for 3 years or so at fletchers.
Always seemed alright to me but then again none of the wendy fans gave me any stick.

I've personally not got a problem with fellow hoolies arranging to knock the living daylights out of each other if that's what they wish to do, i just wish they'd do it like they did in the old days and keep it well away from us fans that just go to watch the football and have a little friendly banter with the other fans.

If you ever want to try and compete with people who go to games Billy or call people for not going I would seriously recommend you dont include CB in that competition.

CB is a true Blade who has lived in Canada for years and just in case geography is not your strongest subject it is not an easy journey to make every weekend or every other weekend to see your team. Also, just in case you wondered if there was an element of bias in this comment, I would defend any Wendy fan who lived abroad as well !!

I'm sorry Dot, but, as i've said on here before, you can't get a true reflection on games unless you've been and seen it! I have no doubt that CB is a blade through and through and the time he takes out on here to do a prediction league etc is commendable, but it's not my fault that he lives so far away and therefore doesn't attend matches! If for instance i asked you what had happened in a certain tv programme and you hadn't seen it, would you then go on to tell me all about it? No! I myself had the chance to move to New Zealand 17 years ago but one of the main things that stopped me was not being able to get to the matches! (Wish i'd gone now! Lol) I missed the Derby game in midweek because i was in Germany working, but that is only the 5th game i've missed all season! and yes Dot, before you ask, i am booked into the Psychiatrist clinic on Monday! :hihi:

In fact last season they showed 3 matches in a row on saturdays :o and the sunday match.
