Im returning to the city of steel in the summer, curious as to whats going on with the music scene there.

Looking to join/start a band when i come up, drummer into metal music basically.

what's happening is that you will have a good choice!! because there is a lack of drummers... i personally knew 3 pretty decent bands all looking for drummers only a few months ago...

i too know many venues :P the favourite venue of mine of all the ones ive played in so far, has still got to be the boardwalk,

although im yet to play in corporation,the bedroom, or the west street live.

I played corp on friday and it was pretty much awesome! boardwalk is great as well...bedroom doesnt put gigs on much (I know coz its me that arranges them if they are :hihi:) west street live is hit and miss, some love it some hate it...but it's regular bands and free entry.

jeez, if decent bands can't find a drummer we don't stand much chance!! I've been trying to put a band together for about a year & are currently looking for drummer no.7 we're not a pro working band, just want to play a few pubs now n again for fun. We'll go back to trying to cobble something together with drum sampling software for now! it's not the same though

Need a vocalist? I come with a rythum guitarist if need be. I'm sick of the band I'm in really, the only other member's a bassist and we've been looking for a drummer for ages.
