View Full Version : Transfering pics from my sony ericsson??

i just got a new laptop which has vista on it so i tried to transfer all my pics from my phone to the computer but it said it will only work with xp not vista ... is there any way i can transfer them without changing from vista to xp ??

sorry if this sounds crap ... i don't know how to explain computer things!!!

bluetooth is probably your best option, the SE software is terrible...

On mine I just plug the supplied USB cable in, and transfer my pics from the DCMI directory on the memory card.

I do that with mine, but it still doesn't always get detected, takes me 3/4 attempts at least for it to work

Probably depends which phone it is. On my k800i I think I can just plug it in. So long as it's in "file transfer" mode then it shows up as a disk and the files are all there somewhere.

Picked it up first time on mine, quite surprising really, didn't have to install any drivers or anything, proper plug and play! :D

yeah, mine did the first few times, but its progressively got worse, to the point of that it now takes 2/3 times of plugging, setting to file transfer mode, and then repeating etc...

Picked it up first time on mine, quite surprising really, didn't have to install any drivers or anything, proper plug and play! :D

again, mine did first time, and when it works, it picks it up normally, just as a removable drive in my computer "Phone" "Memory Stick" -- but that's once I get it to pick it up.
