Me. I'm waiting to get a leaking roof fixed and it can't be done until it's all cleared up and the tiles are dry. I can't get the carpet down in the attic or do the remainder of the plastering & painting until the roof is done. Argghhh!

And then in summer (hopefully) it will be 'who's sick of all this sun?' We'll be begging for rain so that the hose pipe ban can be lifted and our skin can recover from all the blisters

I can even remember ice on the inside of the windows before double glazed!:o

I keep promising to take the children sledging. Partly for my enjoyment.

The Children is our family are really young and as such, probably don't know what snow is, never built a snowman, or, as , mentioned ever been sledging.

At least there's no chance of a hosepipe ban... not that we'll be doing any gardening in the forseeable future!

My cameras keep getting rained on. :-(

Absolutely!

I much prefer some hard cold and snow to the current rain.

Yesterday (Tuesday) morning was so horrible and miserable that had I not had an appointment to go to I think I'd have called in a duvet day! :)

Not as wet as last January yet when we had 212 mm rain, only 120mm so far this month with 15 days to go :)

The winter now is mild wet weather or cold dry weather, snow is getting rarer and rarer unfortunately.

I hate the weather we had the other day, cold, unremitting rain at 2C. Just a bit colder and it would have been snow:(

Can't help thinking the rain is down to global warming, this should be snow at this time of year surely? Fed up of getting wet all the time anyway.

When I've had a couple of weeks in Spain looking at the dried up countryside I think it's quite nice to get back to a bit of rain.
It's not global warming, just normal English weather.

I think you'll find that Summer 2007 was still "Who's Sick Of All This Rain?" so much so that people here on Winn Gardens are still not back in their flooded out homes yet :D

Risk of disruption tomorrow down to 40% on the met office website - last night it was 60%. The worst of the rain might pass to the north of us.

craigmason
21-01-2008, 06:33
are you sure about that?
says
60% Yorkshire & Humber
plus it says areas affected

Heavy Rain 0600 Mon 21 2000 Mon 21

Heavy rain is expected today especially through this morning. Although the rain will ease off this afternoon in many areas, further spells of sometimes heavy rain are likely for a time before finally clearing this evening. Rainfall totals of 25-50 mm are expected widely, with a risk of up to 70 mm in some places. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the latest Environment Agency Floodline and 'Flood Warnings in Force,' and also the 'Highways Agency' for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.

Already ive recorded 13 mm fell today so far. Her on look north said between 25-50mm of rain today, which could be upto 2 inches, which is a lot of rain, but still doesnt come close to the summer deluge of 112mm i think, thankfully!
