Just another case of someone's lawyer trying to get them off the hook by blaming a form of entertainment that's enjoyed by thousands without any ill effect. If the guy's that stupid and suggestable he'll got out and shoot a policeman after playing GTA, he deserves to have the book thrown at him.

Definetly. He was underage so shouldn't have even owned it.

The fact the lawsuit is aimed at Sony for making the console that played the game is ridiculous and shows that they're blaming everyone and hoping for at least one payout.

I hope Sony and Rockstar games take Thompson to court for slandering their game's name!

The makers of the game can't be put on trial for someone else's emotional problems! Most cases where a controvertial film/game/rockstar is blamed hinge upon this same misconception. No one should be blamed for another's obsessions.

Makes you wonder if the little sh*te had been forced to watch makeover and DIY programmes he'd have redecorated the house and done the cleaning instead.:loopy:

Don't you just doubt this!

If he'd gone out and put a powerdrill through Nick Knowles's head, would you hear me complaining?

What's going to happen next, are the lawers going to bring a lawsuit against the cops who arrested him for giving the oppurtunity to grab their gun? Or maybe against the owners of the car stolen for allowing it to be nicked in the first place.

In the end it is just another lawsuit in a country where everyone sues everyone else for the simplist thing.

And slowly but surely we become more and more like America! What a great country we live in!!

One of these days, you never know, a parent might actually hold their hand up and say "********...I've paid no attention to my childs development, and look what has happened! It's my fault!"

To quote Trey Parker and Matt Stone's cinematic masterpiece:

"We must blame them and cause some fuss/Before somebody thinks of blaming us!"
