In the S2 area? Our broadband has been off for a few days now, then yesterday the phone went too. Plus their helpline is a nightmare to get through to the right person, taken me two days of calling, and they still can't find my account on the bloody system!!!

hmmm, very odd. i phoned the helpline when our phone was working, and they said something about loss of service in the S5 area, but that seems to have been fixed judging by the info line.

My broadband was VERY slow last night, then it speeded up, then it went off, then it was realy fast for about half an hour, then it went off again, then tv on demand packed-up, then it came back on.........

Typical Virgin service realy.

i'm quite worried that it might be something to do with people moving into the other flats in the building, as they now can't find my account (never had a problem finding it before, and i've been with them almost a year!).

S7... really terrible speeds the last few nights... down to 200kb/s the other night.. Online gaming impossible.

Nothing new to a VM customer.

I can't understand why it was so good when Telewest ran it and now it's so crap, what did Virgin do to the network to knacker it ?

Perhaps they could be cutting costs on maintenance?
My Virgin broadband has been up and down for the last few days.

The last few days it has been slow for me but I've just done a speedtest and I'm getting 11meg download. Not brilliant but it felt like I was on dial up yesterday

still nothing, i've called loads of times, been round in circles and run up a massive bill to those 0906 numbers they insist you have to call, told them i need to call from work and the hours i work. they have now called me back twice whilst i'm still at work, then refused to call me back later saying they can only do one call back... i need to call them AGAIN to get another call back!! so glad my contract is almost up, i will be cancelling it as soon as i can.

The service from Virgin is really bad now. There's increasing periods of time where the internet goes slow. TV channels cut out and what's happening with the dispute with Sky? When are we getting Sky back?

Having to pay to talk to customer service is just another sign of how far things have gone downhill since Telewest became Virgin.

Instead of just moaning on here do what I did. Send a letter of complaint DIRECTLY to the managing director (just Google it you'll find all the details).

2 days later got a call of his P/A apologising to me as a long standing customer (of 10 years) for the poor service. Got a £100 rebate on my bill there and then, engineer out, new set top box and modem and no problems since.

Job done.

there have been problems in S2 for about a week now, the TV was patchy but now seems to have cut out altogether. i'm moving soon luckily, so just cancelled the contract.

Well my TV has been garbage since Christmas, with film channels I'm paying a premium for, cutting off in the early hours of the morning, more often than not, in the middle of a film. I phoned up and they say they can do NOTHING without an error code. I explained it doesn't display an error code when it happens, it just says 'channel not available/off air' or whatever. She insisted she could do nothing without an error code.

A week last Saturday I started getting trouble with Broadband connection - it was out for about 8 hours, it's been loads slower since about October last year but bearable. Now it's got even worse and I'm losing Broadband connection almost on a daily basis. I phoned tonight, after it had been off for over an hour (it was off in excess of 3 hours in total) and was asked at least 3 times to press 1 for Tv, 2 for Broadband, etc - it just seemed to be going round on a loop. Eventually, it gave me a technical helpline number at 25p a minute - no thanks! - I didn't sign up for that! I'm phoning them tomorrow, if anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated.

Follow my advice Diva and WRITE. Phoning achieves nothing. If you write and threaten to leave it's amazing how quick they suddenly can bend over backwards for you.

Thanks PuressenceUK, think that's what I'll have to do then.
