I have just got a skein of a sock yarn called Spunkey Eclectic. Will it make nice socks?

Sorry, I can't imagine socks, I am too busy tittlering in a very purile way. Must be my upbringing, sorry!

I have seen said yarn at Peakwools, and it is very nice, despite the name. American English name has a different meaning here though, or is it just me?

Think so. In Denmark, "spunk" is black licorice. Been waiting a long time to casually drop that into conversation!

I'm not sure that I've got any yarn as strangely named as that, though colours are often named oddly.

That's the producer not the yarn name, she does some lovely fibre too. If it weren't for the shipping I might stop dyeing my own.

Cant beat that, peakwool. All mine has really boring names like marshmallow or tundra.

I offered to use it to make socks for my sons and they both declined but were laughing so much that they could not tell me why.
