well my new year has started of with a bang. I post this in the hope that someone can lead me to the people responsable for the theft of 2 white planes. It happend at about 2.30pm today on the ponderosa field at the side of martin street flats. 3 youthes stole 2 white sky3 virtually indestructable planes. i believe the youthes where black youthes or of mixed race. they where between the ages of 16 and 19, they where dressed in dark clothing and hoodies and caps. while flying one of my planes and retrieveing it, they ran to the spot where the 2 planes and a rc dragonfly where, they picked up all 3 objects and ran towards oxford street. while running away one of the youthes dropped the dragonfly but keft a hold of its control. the police now have the dragonfly for finger prints. The planes are not very expensive, but i offer a reward to the lead of the 3 youthes so they may be delt with. if anyone has any info on this matter please send me a PM and i,ll get back to you promptlly. Its a shame aswell because i can remember when Upperthorpe used to be a decent familly area, but its just going down hill more and more. Any information will be kept in confidence. please restore my belief in the people of upperthorpe.

I hope the Police manage to help you, but I fear the chances may be slim. Chances are they're local scum, so if you happen to be there at the same time next weekend you may be able to spot them!

yeah its bad news m8 when you can not even fly a few toy planes with out bother. its the same every where no hope just miles of scum.

That's extremely generalised. They're part of a very small minority who ruin it for the rest of them.

That percentage of adults who commit crimes is higher than that of young people, people seem to forget that.

Have you been round upperthorpe latelly mate, they have no respect at all, but you cant touch them because then its the child line call" (political correctness gone wrong). back in our day you did owt wrong and the adult would give you a clip and then take you back to your parents and then they,d clip you aswell. but even parents cant do owt these days against there unruly kids.

I agree to a point, however on a national average, most crimes are committed by non-youths.

Teenagers may NOT even be the culprits here.
He said they were Wearing Hoodies, aged 16-19.
How on earth can you get a clear look at someone wearing something like that.
A lot of people stop growing at around that age.

There's a high chance it could be teenagers but not everything that happens is down to teens. A lot of Adults are to blame for Violence and Crime, don't forget that.

Besides, at least Teenagers still have some chance to make their lives better. Despite wat they've done.



Anyway, hope you find the culprits and get your Planes back.

in my eyes it makes no difference if something is stolen/or someone is hurt what age color height size sex they are its wrong in every way it is getting such an horrid world we live in and we cant do anything about it i do believe that the way kids are brought up has something to do with it but then we cant say what are kids are going to do when they are out of our sight only trust i have 2 boys 3 and 5 and wonder what life will hold for them when they become age to make there own choice i will do my best to keep them on track but as i say we cant do much about what happens ....good luck on trying to find your belongings

i grew up round there and the ponda was my play ground i wouldnt have left anything on its own but i can understand you cant carry everything around while retrieving a crashed plane i would have took a friend with me. hope you catch the scum and get your stuff back ;)

facts, the police asked the original poster for a description of the thieves,describing clothing,height and colour or ethnicity,the time the offence happened and any witnesses,the original poster gave an accurate description,the same one he posted on here,so where is the problem? ill tell you,its when another poster says its subliminal racism to mention white planes and black youths,everything in the description given was and is perfectly legal so there should have never been a problem other than removing the troll posts

Far be it for me to be perturbed by any of your comments, I myself was born and bred in Upperthorpe and am also over 30, so yes I feel I can comment equally as much as ady can.

I personnally am still as much as part of the community as anyone around here, more so than most, thus will contribute to any discussion about MY area.

You had something stolen that you left unattended - shock horror, like I said this would have happened anywhere.

No one is disputing that the description is legal. I'll explain why other posts have been removed. If we remove post "A", then someone else quotes post "A", or makes mention of the content of post "A", then we have to delete all references. Otherwise, post "A" can still be seen, quoted, or referred to in post "B". It's not necessarily that we're disputing the content of post "B". Now, this is the final request for this thread to get back on topic, this discussion is getting the OP nowhere and assisting no-one. we have looked up in the weston/crooks parks to see if they are using them but they appear to be keeping a low profile at the minute,no doubt they will turn up or some one local will be offered them cheap and that may just be enough to get the theives caught

yeah but then it depends on wether the person thats been offerd them on the cheap, is a decent enough person to let us know. It would be nice to think that there is some decent people around here still, infact im sure there is, but they find it hard to surface with all the local missfits.
