There are now two more sets of lights on the main road in Wharncliffe Side - one set just before the Blue Ball and a set about 100 yards afterwards. Eventually we'll get cut off completely.

They're part of the new Smithy Wood development. The Nether Lane junction is quite nasty and will definitely benefit from being signal controlled. The ones halfway down cowley Hill are to let traffic out of the new site.

At least this latest set make that bend far safer if you're heading towards Deepcar. Before, those cones seemed to be getting further and further out into the road and as you couldn't see them until the last minute the natural reaction was to give them a wide berth and straddle the white lines. Hopefully the work will be done much quicker than the time the cones have been there :suspect:

Its been like a river again down main rd. manhole covers lifting with rain water burst gas mains and blocked drains again.

that road is in a shocking state anyway. maybe instead of patching up here and there it needs completly relaying!
