The expert forum is gone so I will ask here.

Some who have already replied know I have been experiecing problems with my host. You can just about guarantee that one of my websites is unavailble - i.e down at the half hour of EVERY hour.

The company I am hosting with have recently started to impliment changes to their services by moving to new super dooper servers.
In this process - which was started approimately 1 month ago, existing customers are being moved to these new servers.

My husband is now unable to recieve his e-mail through the sites, I also was inflicted with this at one point. I am unable to acces the control panels and admin sections to my websites which has halted a large overhaul to my business website.
I am able to upload to a from my puter so I do have access tot he content but not the settings.

I have submitted support requests which were ignored for over a week. And then the tickets were closed after a short e-mail asking what was wrong.
I re-opened them and whinged in their forum - like other users I may add who also face the same problems.
I repeatedly tried phoneing the UK based company to try and get some answers and have been told various things like - Your site will be moved tonite and it will be sorted today.

I am still waiting and I ain't happy. Their site states their is no refund available for hosting packages which are paid for annually but they also state in their terms and conditions:

"1. We are responsible for providing the user with an Internet Web Hosting Service, including related services"

Advice help of any sort greatly appreciated.

Sorry... only just seen this. Who do you use?

I use www.FastHosts.co.uk and www.UKReg.com for my hosting/domain registration.

They're definitely reasonably priced and I've not had too much trouble with them. Obviously, sometimes their servers are offline but only for short periods of time and not very often.

Have a look at their website and compare prices. Domains are cheap if you transfer them to UKReg and you get email / web forwarding for free.
