This will be a wild stab in the dark but hopefully someone can help, Ive just been phoned by my nan to tell me there was a piece on Calendar about the death of my best friend Keran Winnard on tonights Calendar, I had no idea about this and so missed it, I was just wondering by any chance if anyone recorded this or can let me know if theres any way I can get a copy... I really would like to see this and just wish I had known it was going to be on.

Sorry to hear about your friend. If I'm honest I think you will be lucky to find someone who records Calendar. Perhaps you might be able to obtain a recording from their studio's?

Think the report was about South Yorkshire ambulance service having 100 more ambulances available in our region to help cut the length of time they take to arrive to 999 calls. The report highlighted your friends case as the ambulance took a long time to get to her,and told of her grandmas concern and how she has campaigned to get more ambulances since the terrible, death of her granddaugher. My thoughts go out to her and all her family.
Hope this helps.

If my recent experience is anything to go by, then the grandmother's campaign has been successful. I was recently taken quite seriously ill and an ambulance was called. It arrived very quickly (certainly within 10 minutes) and I received prompt treatment in the ambulance and then soon after at the Northern General. The ambulance staff couldn't have been more efficient and helpful. Incidentally, I also later received excellent treatment at the Royal Hallamshire. We hear many stories of the NHS not getting things right, so I am pleased to relate a very positive experience.
