im shopping around for someone to replace my Tiscalli, and looked at this for the free PS3 but a 24 month contract is restricting to say the least

What's wrong with AOL? You don't have to use their front end, unless you're a noddy - you can set it up like any other broadband provider using a router or a modem. Doesn't the fact that they are the biggest single ISP in the world speak for itself. I can certainly guarantee that not all their customers are no hopers :)

Don't use them myself but know several people that do!

In terms of the offer it's not as good as it looks because in effect you pay £360.00 for a £249.00 laptop and 2 years broadband, however you can get a similar broadband service for "free" if you know where to look, obviously without the laptop :)

The laptop my sister got was excellent and it is more than capable of surfing net and general stuff not great for gaming though.
