Yeah apparently Barry is taking the Scarbrough, long time since he had the Eden but he turns up around here for a drink now & then. Hope he can make a good go of it cus it's been a nightmare since it's been shut :roll:

You mean you could go into that place and have a social drink? I don't think any landlord would take it over so it will be left boarded up, fall into complete disrepair and look a complete mess.

I wasn't aware of the spelling till now, I just assumed it was named after the Yorkshire resort. I suppose it is really named after the Earls of Scarbrough?

In what sense is he perverted?

He used to have the Roman ridge pub, he was allways after chatting up and smarming all over the women (my mother included)
He was only messing about tho, we used to call him a pervet in jest.
He is actually a real nice bloke, will cook you food at the drop of an hat, loves it.

Seems this is a tricky location to run a pub? The nearby Moon closed down when it couldn't make ends meet, although it was a huge place with costs likely much higher than the Scarborough.

The "house" that Fred and Rose West lived in didn't "do" anything but it was demolished because of the evil things that had happened within it. As for anyone going into The Scarbrough Arms to drink and be jolly.... I'm lost for words. Well I'm not, but I don't want to be so insulting on this Forum

Nothing I drive by it everday, it does have a load of posters/boards advertising student accomodation on it, hopefully won't be turned into that!

I hate the place horrid dark hanging memory.....

What about the landlord in the sally (salutation inn) in high green ,landlord killed has this been knocked down and something nice been put in it's place no, a building is only as good as the people who frequent it. Don't blame a place that's been standing for donkey's years on it's history or we would never have any
