hi does any one know how to remove the cmoss password on a toshiba satalite a10 laptop..as soon as it starts its asking for a pass word...to the bios can any one help thank you:help::help:

if its just standed bios password remove battery any power then either use jumpe or remove bios battery for a few minutes

or

try some of these password i found on the net. maybe if you enter the right one you can remove it from there?

these are some default passwords by the way.

NOTE: With respect to the Award BIOS, the "AWARD_SW" (use without quotes) and (is is case sensitive) password should even override a set password! If not, you may also want try j262 as the password.

On older Toshiba's you had to have a dongle that plugged into the parallel port to clear the CMOS:

Type "Toshiba parallel dongle" into Google.

no idea if this would work or not i used to use a program called killcmos not sure if its still available or not.

hi the parallel divise worked fantastic cost £2.40 to make..laptop now working saved me hundreds to have it fixed ...one quote was near to £250. the other was £47.00 per hour plus £30.00 unlock plus £65 for new toshiba h\d plus £85 for windows..again thank you
