I guess that this thread fits in OK in the 'Going Out in Sheffield' Category, as it concerns a group which in the recent past, at least, has put on monthly shows at the Showroom/Workstation:
I was URGENTLY wanting to contact CREAT-O-VATE, a local group dedicated to celebrating diversity and promoting disability arts, as I was interested in them getting involved in a local mini-arts festival which I am planning for late May/early June.
I have looked for their website (www.creatovate.com -exact spelling-) but all I can come up with are error messages saying that the site is unavailable; needless to say, their flyers only have this website address and no phone number or email at all on them. I have trawled the web with Google for an alternative web presence of the group, but I have had no success at all; there is nothing but 'secondhand' references to them and recent events which they have organised, such as in late 2007, at the Showroom.
The question is, therefore:
1.)Does Create-O-Vate still exist?
2.)If so, WHO can I contact regarding getting involved with the group, and getting them interested in this festival I am planning?
3.)If Create-O-Vate doesen't exist any more in its former guise, has it been replaced by a new group/name? Or have people who formerly organised it set up new arts ventures, and how may I contact them, as I would STILL be interested in them getting involved in the festival on an individual basis.
I hope someone out there can help me in my request!
