Does any actually believe that the programme 60 minute make over is real ?

I took me nearly 1 1/2 hours to paint a room last week so how they can do a full house in 60 mins is beyond me:huh:

It's quite easy - they do all the really difficult bits during the commercial breaks so you don't see them.

Yeah, and why do they need a tea break after only 30 minutes work? And isn't that Terri very annoying?

On a similar note, why was it that Inspector Morse could solve the most dastardly of murders within 90 minutes, yet bumbling South Yorkshire Police take weeks and sometimes still don't get a conviction?

I suppose when you think about it, the 60 minute makeover is a bit of a con if people REALLY think it's done in that time.

The designer will have been out with some of the team weeks before hand to assess what needs doing and order the necessary stuff. They'll have been back to make sure everything's ready and they draw up a detailed chart of what is to be done in each of the rooms (you can usually see it pinned to the doors). Then when you think of the number of people working (and the sloppy way they paint) 60 mins is achievable. They have the break so that little glitches can be sorted out (you can spot some of the stuff that suddenly appear 'done' after the break when it wasn't done before the break) and they can assess and allow paint to dry a bit etc.

The best makeover show was that Carol Vorderman real homes I think it was called, at least they seemed to do a proper job and spent a fortune on the products.
