after i have written all the .vob files etc to dvd, if i wanted to make another copy of the same dvd could i just copy the contents of the dvd back to harddrive and then just burn it again or would i have to re-author it?? also would i have to use both the video_ts and audio_ts folders or could i just burn the .vobs and other files straight to the dvd??
Many thanks, Jon
Don't see why you can't do that, as when you author the dvd you get both the video_ts and audio_ts folders and that is what is burned.
But you need to burn both the video_ts and audio_ts folders onto the DVD as that is what the DVD player expects to see, even tho the audio_ts folder is empty!

ok, cheers for that i thought you could do it like that i think a bit of trial and error is required just to see if it works. Thanks for the help.
once u have done one disc and its all fine and dandy just put it in drive and drag the video folder to desktop....then re-burn. dont need to shrink or re-author and if you try it sometimes will even come up with a error.
dont need audio i think...but might as welll drag it (even though its always empty)
