Im admitting that I have a crush on Sean Bean!

I watched him in that Essex Boys film on Friday and thought he looked really sexy in it and I like his voice its really manly lol!

I know that he comes from Handsworth and that he still goes and watches the Blades ... does anyone on here know any goss on him or have any of you met the geezer?

I wanna meet him lol!

I heard he was going to take acting lessons.

Hardly! He's one of the best supporting actors in the business at the moment.

So he actually married that actress named Georgina? The last time I read about them, didn't they draw blood during a drunken hotel row in America?

PS: He's an incredible actor, except in "The Hitcher" remake, and nobody could have saved that film.

He gets really annoyed when people pronounce his name wrongly. He insists it should be pronounced "Seen Born" and not, as it's often said, "Shorn Been".

He's a regular at The Peacock. Goes in every Friday night and has two pints of beer and a bag of pork scratchings.

He's secretly a Wednesdayite but has had to pretend to be a Blade all these years after he lost a bet with Robert De Niro whilst on a film set back in 1982.

Yes, I have some (very old ) goss.
A few years ago I was staying in the Hilton at Bradford and work had messed up my booking. I was at reception and they didn't have a room for me.
A man was listening in to the conversation and apologised for earwigging but offered me his room. I said no, I couldn't possibly do that but he insisted saying he could bunk down in one of the other mens rooms.
He was Sean Bean's stunt man when thye were filming Sharpe. Anyway the whole cast were there, including Sean Beans "mistress"/ co star. It wasn't known then but a few days later pictures appeared, in the press, of them both in the hotel bar.
It was very strange and paps must be very clever as we were there also that night, on the next table nad never saw anyone taking photo's.
He did speak to us and gave us some autographs. He was very pleasant and friendly..... also much shorter than I imagined him to be!

But he has not bothered to divorce all of them before marrying again. He is a bigamist.

Seriously - I knew a man who was the business partner of his father in some form of enginering type venture many years ago. Sean was an apprentice there briefly but he did not take to it and took up acting instead.
True story.

I knew his Mother Rita quite well at one time and also Daniel his sister's son. his wife used to collect Daniel from Handsworth First School sometimes when she was playing the part of Evaline in Bread. Not quite the same effect when in trainers and tracksuit.

His Mom was keen to let us know that when he played a baddie it was not a bit like her son Sean.

Once on meeting her at a get together in the Anglers -- just after Sean had been on TV in Lady Chatterleys Lover --She was asked if she had seen much of Sean lately, No she said and some one piped up saying well everybody else has.

A mate of mine saw him in a pub in London a few months ago. He was with a group of workmates and Sean sent his friend over to one of the more attractive girls to say "Sean really likes you and would like to buy you a drink"!

The girl replied with "if he likes me that much, he can come over here and talk to me himself"!

To be fair to Sean, he did come over and talk to her then (but didn't pull her apparently so it's that juicy a bit of gossip...)

I think that would be a start. His overdone yorkshire accent is almost as annoying as Cilla's overdone scouse one. At least he's got guts though, don't know if I'd still be able to go to the lane if I'd missed an open goal several times in front of thousands of fans.

Actually, Brian Cox has a fairly credible American accent. Sean, poor dear, should fire his dialect coach. :hihi: Not many UK actors can convincingly mimic our flat Midwestern drone.:gag:
