Best & easiest way, but you need 4 or 6 floppies (can't remember) for XP boot disks.

Mostly you can use the CD, what are you needing to do?

You will find that there are far more diagnostic utilities available when booting from a genuine Xp disk. From experience boot floppies and Xp should be a last resort. That is unless you have a dodgy copy of Xp of course

If you really want some decent diagnostic tools through xp but your PC doesn't work, check out Bart PE, not sure on the website to get it from, but, it is a live XP CD, boot into a version of XP from cd with lots of diag tools included.
