View Full Version : Good Quality - Decent priced Hairdresser - S6
LadyInRed 06-01-2008, 14:35 Not sure in correct section so sorry mods if it is..
:help:
I want my hair trimming and dont want to spend the earth for it.. Have paid up to £70 in the past, but just can't spare that kinda cash, can't really afford any but got a job interview soon and don't want my apperance to let me down.
Not had it cut properly in about 12months.. just the odd trim on the ends to keep it neat from a non-hairdresser friend.
My hair is in good condititon, just looks bored. I used to get a regular cut from a friend but we had a massive fall out - dont trust with scissors round my head anymore. I have tried some of the shops in hillsborough and although they are ok I just don't feel comfortable in most of them.. like I'm not brave enough to have an intresting hair cut.
Any sensible replies welcome... :help:
Just need about one inch off the ends and it neating up, its got really long.
pippadoll 06-01-2008, 14:58 My friend swears by Elle Pelloz 0114 267 1896 or something like that in Crookes, just up from Walkley on the corner of Bradley Street; good prices too. If you can get the owner Stacey of Aurora on Crookes to cut your hair she will do an amazing job for a good price 2746000.
LadyInRed 06-01-2008, 15:39 Cheers for that .. :) :)
squeakyclean 06-01-2008, 15:44 I go to Smile at Hillsborough (Middlewood Road) I am not sure how much a trim, would be, but a restyle inc blow dry and finish is around £26. I don't even live in the area, but feel totally at ease with them cutting my hair, so will keep going back now.
I go to the one on South Road in Walkley, £4.40 for a decent hair cut, bargain!
pippadoll 06-01-2008, 17:37 But Rich, you are a man and able to do so. I assumed Lady in Red was female and probably wouldn't have her hair cut by a barber.
jamtart27 06-01-2008, 17:41 havin mine cut tomorrow .........soooo scared lol
I like Funky Divas (I go to the Crystal Peaks branch but there is one in Walkley) they share staff between the 2 branches. I've found Stephen and Gemma good but to be honest I've not had a bad hair cut/style from there, and I've been going for 2 years now, so I think you'd be safe from any of them. Cut & blow dry is just under £20.

Fair point, there's a place on Stanwood Road as well that's probably local for LadyInRed, it's a unisex hairdressers and isn't TOO expensive iirc.
intrim, on wadsley lane, its opp hillsborough park nr tattoo shop, there good and cheap(bout £25 wash, restyle and blow dry) tracey the manager is really good and all freindly
Like you LadyInRed I hadn't had my haircut for ages and was very bored with its style. I decided to try Bryan's hairdressers on Upperthorpe Rd (where all the shops are near the library and medical centre in Upperthorpe). I had a fair amount chopped off (though it's still long) and a side parting with longish fringe put in. Joanne the hairdresser I had still only charged this as a trim rather than a restyle and therefore it came to £12 !!!! And that was with having it washed and blown dry too. I was so impressed. Apparently a restyle is £15, though colour etc would no doubt cost more. If you're interested their number is 249 4058.
emtink12 27-01-2008, 11:49 How about goin to castle college, im there doing hairdressing and we charge really cheap prices.. 2602080
