I had a load of 'offline' favourite pages bookmarked in Microsoft Internet Explorer, I have viewed them offline previously, but yesterday they all went into a sulk
Does anybody know why?
(I know everybody is going to tell me this isn't the best internet browser to use, but can anybody answer the question?)
Have you cleared out your cached pages and accidentally selected the 'bin the offline content' option?
Joe
I haven't, but is there somewhere that 'big brother' microsoft's software may have done it for me?
Not that I know of - it's something that I think you have to trigger.
Joe
The only thing i could think of is you have your settings set to remove your history, cookies etc.. when you sign off but then it would do it every time so it can't be that?.
So I'm not being blonde then? Could it have anything to do with trying to view them whilst tinternet was down yesterday, but the machine was happilly talking to the box in the hall?
Edit: I think they're only supposed to syncronise when I tell them to
I wonder if it could be the "keep pages in history xx days" setting? But this shouldnt stop you viewing offline favorites? Perhaps its just another one of Microsofts "Random Features" they put in software instead of bugs? :suspect:

I can't find ANY referance to it ANYWHERE on the internet!. This is the first time i have ever come across a brick wall when researching a problem :(.
Did you loose you're internet connection like some of us?. This is all i can think of at the moment, there may have been some sort of surge (It knocked my router out and i had to re-connect it).
Anyway, someone on CbtTechs will hopefully know the answer and post back. Me...I'll keep looking anyway. I hate loosing a battle!
One thought: Have you tried doing a windows search for the pages?. The link you are using may have become corrupted.
Vidster :)
Thanks for spending so much time on this, Vid. I'll try the windows search tomorrow.
Goodnight
