I have just sat down to recover from cleaning my car (inside and out of course).

I usually wait until it has reached the 'health hazard' stage before I get the soapy water out. It is a job that I hate and to be honest within a couple of days it will be back to its original state.

It's not me you understand but the kids.

I suppose it gets washed about 3 times a year.
How often do you wash yours? Are you one of the peeps who wash it every Sunday?

Used to be when it rained...but now i've a black one and i'm doing it once a week...far too much energy being expended....still, when i prang it, cleaning will then stop. (statistically, due one soon)

On average once a month inside and out. I don't do that much milege so it doesn't get too dirty.

Average of about twice a month, usually do the inside while I'm at it. Yes, on Sundays too....(?) What else are Sundays for?

I have a child that washes outside once a month, very reluctantly, but is part of monthly jobs to get cash, which he agreed to.
No money til car wash is done and it does usually wait til he wants to go somewhere and needs cash, harsh mother i am. Mind u friends have picked up on this and give him jobs to do so they usually get theres done first and i have to wait til he's desperate.
I clear crap from inside when it gets to the point of u can't get in anymore/ it begins to smell badly/ we r goin on holiday in it/ come back from holiday and it smells bad from livin it and campin/my mother is comin or i'm goin over there, but usually quite good at doin when come home from work and wheely bin's bin emptied and still on front.
So if anyone has jobs Pm me and i can let him know, but he is choosy.
Think i may get into this can b nice little earner.

I have to be honest and say I am a little obsessive about my car.... It has to be SPOTLESS in and out, hate to see filthy cars.

The frequency is inversely related to how long I've had the car. I'm taking delivery of a new used car this week so I'd guess the frequency's going to be about once a month tailing down to about twice a year in 4 years time.

On the outside - every 3 months I'll run it through the Safeway Carwash in Meltham just to reveal all the scratches

On the inside, usually when the rubbish in the passenger footwell actually spills out when the door is opened.

Very very regularly! I look after my car in every way I can (Spent over £100 on cleaning equipment in the last 8 months, and then bought a Karcher jet washer thingy so I can wash the car more regularly, to prevent brake dust build up on the alloys.)

You can see my car here:

Riiight...so the wing mirrors are designed to fold upwards...I honestly thought they were all being vandalised by some envious thug ;)

Yep Abby they fold upwards matey - to prevent some mindless nurk in a car (or 4 x 4) too big for their needs from taking them off whilst its on Ecclesall Road (no relation to Ecclesall the area mind!) hehe :)

Not often enough.
Probably about once a month either by hand or by jetwash, never through the carwash.
I don't let anyone leave rubbish on the inside, so it's only just getting ready for a vacumming after 4 months of ownership.

Had car 3 years (took it for a service and they cleaned it once !!).

Previous motor 8 years, cleaned twice.

Just let the rain do it for you.

I take it through the car wash on Queen's Road whenever it looks dirty - provided it doesn't look like it is going to rain.

I vacuum the inside, clean the upholstery and dashboard and the insides of the windows every so often.

I'm ever-so-good to my little Micra.
