View Full Version : What would you do if this happened to you?
Squeaker 13-02-2005, 15:38 A strange thing happened today,
Wrongly, I suppose in hind sight, I put my half eaten pitta with half a sausage in it out my car door and onto the soil of the car park opposite my house. I guess I thought the birds would eat it (they sometimes eat meat?).
Anyway, to cut a long story short.....
When I got home I went to put the rubbish out and to my astoundment I saw my half pitta and sausage by the bin...in the back garden mind... It has to be my neigbour....
What would you do...ignore what they have done...I mean people have left worst in the car park, only now there are fag packets ect....
GET THE FEELING I'M BEING WATCHED........?
Last week I had a nastY note stuck on my screen becuase I had parked too close to someone.....
IS IT THE SAME PERSON??
I have left a note for this person in the car park.....or should I go next door and have it out??
Any thoughts would be intersting... I mean it was biodegradeable...how on earth did they see me do it too...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I'd go next door and apologise as you'd guessed wrong about the birds.
i would place the half eaten pitta back in the car park - with a letter attached - telling the nosey beaker to you know what!

Stick a wireless web cam on your window. You neighbours probably all ready have and rewind their recordings every day to see what your up to.

I heard some one sticking a wireless cam on their neighbours window so it looked into their bedroom.
They can be the size of a penny and transmit 20-50 metres.
I had a good laugh when i heard it because the person who prosecuted the snooper was a cross dresser. All the images were getting shown on a web page.
jonsastar 13-02-2005, 15:55 Stop winding up your neighbors and think about the consequences of your actions.
End of the day chucking half eaten sandwitches in the car park is a trampy thing to do, why not just throw it in the bin?
I know it's bio degradable but still a trampy thing to do.

Good point.
Why not take it down town with you. And give it to one of the beggers.
Squeaker 13-02-2005, 15:58 Well I just knocked on her door to appologise and she wouldn't answer... obviously doesn't want to make up!

I didn't do it to **** her off personally! :-(

Buy them a kebab. Leave the lettuce out
Squeaker 13-02-2005, 16:00 that was meant to say wind her up... not off tee hee
Squeaker 13-02-2005, 16:01 Do you think if it had just been pitta bread no sausage ...is that ok?
muddycoffee 13-02-2005, 16:01 Squeaker, you should pick up the remains of the meal, and take it to the police station and admit your littering offence and show them the evidence. After paying your £200 fine then don't drop litter again, which is likely to encourage rats. And makes some parts of our city look a completely disgusting.
If I would have seen you do it I would have sellotaped the offending litter to your car windscreen and left a note, explaining that you are creating a health hazard, and that you should be thorouly ashamed.

So you parked too close to someone and got a nasty note......what do you expect????? Then you throw your litter out your car......and it ends up in your bin??? I would count myself lucky mate, I would have put it through your letterbox.

I didn,t think you did, but this lady who it may or may not be, could have pride in her country and may not want to live in a rat infested area (dropping food all over the place can cause this to happen).
The person who has done this is obviously trying to point out that they dont want rubbish in the car park.
And it seems that the birds did not eat your sandwitch, and that takes part of any arguement you had away.
My best info in a problem like this is try not to get into a war with this person as they are in the right so far and you are in the wrong.
Try to be thoughtfull and there will probably be no infringement on the way you live your life.
rubydazzler 13-02-2005, 16:39 MODS .... another little job for you here ....
do you think you should merge the abandoned sausage and pitta bread thread with the rat thread ..... :D

I could get out of my side fine!

So that it will be submissible as 'evidence' of your littering and you become liable for the fine? It'll have your DNA and your handwriting on it :D
If you didn't like it being in your back garden, why do you think it's okay for it to be in the street?
It's a genuine question. I cannot fathom why this seems to be a 'normal' thing in Sheffield.
There are some beautiful open green spaces around here, but there are some scruffy gets who think that they are just compost heaps for the dead branches, broken fence panels and grass cuttings from their pristine garden. (It's a bit obvious when there's a huge mound just behind somebody's back fence)
Squeaker, if I were in your situation, I would
a) feel a bit annoyed then
b) feel awful and then
c) buy a little pot with some lovely spring flowers and leave them on your neighbours doorstep with a little note saying sorry. Then
d) Build a bridge, get over it and next time have a bit more consideration for others and the environment.
Well, you did ask?! ;-)
In the interest of peace,
I think I'd follow Hels suggestion to leave your neighbor some flowers and a 'sorry' note.
I personally think she's being petty about the half sandwich. Jeez Louise! If that's the worst thing that happens in her neighborhood, she can't complain. (although you SHOULD properly dispose of your garbage!) :nono:
And unless it was her car you parked too close to, it was really none of her business. (But I'm sure you know parking so close that someone can't easily get in or out of their car isn't very nice. It's also a good way to get your car dented when they fling open their door in anger!)
I find leaving an anonymous note on someone's windshield, and sneaking around because you haven't got the guts to face them, to be what we call here in the states "chicken sh*t".
However, this lady seems to have an abundance of time on her hands and an axe to grind. Best be nice to her. In the future I would watch where I put my trash and park more carefully. Good luck.
:) Sierra
Squeaker 14-02-2005, 09:43 I did ask... and have no upsets by being told of by you guys, However I am not an ungreen person....And she know it!
I knocked on her door to appologise... but I am not leaving flowers...shes not an old lady by the way....
As for the parking... there is very little around my way, so I had one small space to sqeeze into that day.
I think I might throw her cats poo over her fence next time it does one in my garden

I'm with you on that one
The doorstep is the best place to leave it though. She'll step in it on the way out, and appreciate just how horrible the stuff is to deal with.

Yeah, I mean someone let their dog poo right outside my house once....
poo happens right.....
Sam Miguel 14-02-2005, 12:32 A while ago I had glorious ambitions of growing an apple tree on the grass bit on the inside of the Granville Road/ St Mary's Gate one-way system.
I would eat my apple on my way to work (illegality number one) and then discard it in the aforementioned place (illegality number two).
I hope my confessions clear me as I no longer do either. It would be nice to see some apple trees there on there one day.
