On BBC4 now.

Featuring all the movies and seiries of Allens work and later tonight Land of the giants followed by the towering inferno.

I just watched the first episode of Lost in space and it brought back some good old memories of when I was a kid.

I watched Time Tunnel, which I really enjoyed, and some of the documentary last night. Wasn't tempted by Lost in Space though, which I enjoyed when I was a child but I don't think has dated at all well.

Oh man, Land of the Giants... That really takes me back to Sunday lunch at my Grandads when I was a nipper.

*has serious nostalgia trip*

not the best of film makers

he DID make just two good movies and one good tv series

The Poseidon Adventure (oh Shelley Winters and the 18 foot christmas tree!!!!!!!)

The Towering Inferno ( the best of all the disaster films)

and Land of the giants ( I remember it being show on a Friday afternoon after PEYTON PLACE)

memories!

A lot of his sieries started off brilliant but after a few shows seemed to descend into farce. Even as a kid that ruined it for me.
